For the first time, the Tamil Nadu Water Treatment Entrepreneurs joined together and formed a unified association in Chennai under the name TWTESA to protect the interests and welfare of water treatment business owners across Tamil Nadu.

While many similar associations were newly formed between 1975 and 2016, many entrepreneurs did not receive proper support through these groups. As a result, several small-scale water treatment entrepreneurs faced hardships, financial losses, and lack of proper guidance.

This association continues to guide both existing and newly joined entrepreneurs towards growth and stability in the water treatment business.
